A practical way to give your assistant design context: choose a relevant reference, explain why it fits, and check the work against your project constraints.
Start with a specific decision
“Make it look better” leaves an assistant with a broad brief. A useful reference narrows the decision: how a pricing table compares plans, how a settings screen groups choices, or how a small screen keeps the main action within reach.
Choose a reference because it solves a problem you share. A striking page can still be a poor fit for your audience, content, or accessibility requirements.
Explain what you want to carry over

A reference gives you something concrete to discuss. It does not establish that the design is right for your product or guarantee that an assistant will implement it well.
Write down the constraints
State the audience, the main action, and the parts of the project that must stay. Include constraints such as an existing framework, system fonts, no imagery, or no animation. Ask for a direction you can inspect before work begins.
Keep the chosen direction and acceptance criteria in the conversation when requesting a revision. New conversations may need that context again.
Check the work you actually have
